Cyclist dies after crash with car in Aberdeen

A man has died following a collision between his bike and a car in Aberdeen.

The accident happened on North Anderson Drive, close to the junction with Mastrick Road, on Sunday afternoon.

The cyclist was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but could not be saved. Police appealed for witnesses.

After a separate crash near Inverurie six people, including a child, were taken to hospital.

It happened at about 11:25 on Sunday and involved two vehicles.

One man was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and another man, three women and the child were taken to hospital by road.
