A young girl has been shot in the head in an "armed incident" involving a man thought to be her father who was found dead at the scene in East Sussex. | |
The girl, whose age has not been revealed, was shot in Spring Hill, Northiam, at about 16:00 BST. | |
South East Coast Ambulance described the wound as "serious" and that the girl had been taken to King's College Hospital in London. | |
The area around Spring Hill has been sealed off by police investigators. | |
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: "Armed officers are at the scene ensuring the area is safe. There is no evidence that the public are at risk. | |
