Two children have been seriously hurt after being hit by a van in Cardiff. | |
The van left the carriageway colliding with the children and an adult near the Forge Youth Centre on the A48 Cowbridge Road West in Ely, said police. | |
Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening but they were taken under police escort to the University Hospital of Wales. | |
A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. Drivers have been told to avoid the area. | |
The incident happened at around 15:15 BST as many schools in the city closed for the day. | |
The road has been closed in both directions between Green Farm Road and Crossways Road and Caerau Lane. | |
