Radamel Falcao believes Manchester United still require time to gel despite Sunday’s convincing 4-0 win over Queens Park Rangers. The Colombian made his debut as a second-half replacement after goals from Ángel di María, Ander Herrera, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata had secured United’s first win of the season. Falcao was one of three players to make his debut for the club, along with Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo, plus Di María, who made his first appearance at Old Trafford. With Luke Shaw, who is yet to play for United in a competitive match and Herrera also a summer signing, Falcao said United still require time to fully click. “Bit by bit we will gel together as a team and the new players will feel more comfortable. I hope everything continues for us like it has done today. I am very happy for this victory and the support was great. I want to continue that way. I want to say thank you to them and I enjoyed that a lot, this match. “It was fantastic. I almost scored. The goalkeeper was good,” the striker added of a second-half chance that QPR’s Robert Green saved. “I hope to score the next game.” Falcao, who has played in Colombia, Argentina, Portugal, Spain and France, said of the Premier League: “It’s very interesting, I have always watched it from afar. It’s very attacking, and the intensity is very high.” |
