Mother jailed for sending semi-naked photos of daughters to dance teacher

Version 0 of 1. A mother who had her daughters pose for sexually explicit pictures and videos that she sent to a Sydney dance teacher has been jailed until at least 2016. The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, wept in the dock as Judge Peter Zahra described how she felt “stymied” by her own failed dance career, which began with promise but ended with strip shows and lingerie waitressing, and fell under the spell of her children’s dance instructor Grant Davies. She has pleaded guilty to producing and disseminating child abuse material, including pictures of her children in sexually suggestive poses and video of them dancing semi-naked. The Sydney district court heard how the woman had become engulfed by stage ambitions for her daughters, both gifted dancers, who were accepted into Grant’s exclusive Sydney dance school. Judge Zahra said she had complied with his alleged requests to supply increasingly daring images of the girls, then aged between 10 and 13. The woman has been jailed for at least one and a half years. |
