Runners will then take a route along the Portway, under the Suspension Bridge finishing at Anchor Road. Many roads will be closed in the centre. This year's men's race has been won by Ben Siwa from Uganda with a time of just under 64 minutes. Gladys Yator from Kenya won the women's race.
Last year's men's race was won by Bernard Rotich from Kenya and the women's race by Emma Stepto from Cornwall. Runners are taking a route along the Portway, finishing at Anchor Road. Many roads that are closed in the centre are expected to reopen by 17:00 BST.
