Man charged over '£25K cocaine' find in Lisburn

A 41-year-old man has been charged over the seizure of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of £25,000 in County Antrim.

He was arrested after police stopped and searched a car on Oldpark Road, Lisburn, on Saturday afternoon.

The man has been charged with possession of a class A drug and possession with intent to supply.

He is expected to appear at Lisburn Magistrates Court on Monday morning.

Det Insp Alan Pyper from the Police Service of Northern Ireland's organised crime branch said: "The man has also been reported to the Public Prosecution Service for possession of a class B controlled drug and possessing items that breach a registered trademark."
