http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-29354752 Version 0 of 1. A body has been found in the search for a British man missing since a hurricane struck the coast of Mexico. Paul Whitehouse, from Wolverhampton, and partner Simone Wood were on a yacht which capsized when Hurricane Odile hit on 14 September. Local authorities said they recovered the body of Ms Wood, from London, on Sunday. The Foreign Office confirmed the death of a second British national who had been reported missing. A spokesperson said: "The Embassy is working with the local authorities and consular staff are providing assistance to both families at this very difficult time." Friends of the couple said they had been living on the 70ft (21m) boat - one of 25 which capsized - in La Paz's harbour. Mr Whitehouse had been working as a scuba instructor in the city for a year. Odile caused widespread damage when it struck Mexico's Baja California peninsula, and thousands of tourists were airlifted from the Los Cabos resort. |
