Speaking about her diagnosis, Ms Sundin said: "I couldn't believe it. It wasn't supposed to happen to me and I didn't want to accept it. Speaking after the race, Ms Sundin said: "It felt really good to finish. I guess I felt surprise, joy and excitement as I crossed the line.
"Then I realised I had to get back on my feet or suffer the consequences." "The first day was hard, I used all my willpower to get myself moving but then it got better."
She has so far raised more than £950, with donations still coming in. Friend Greg Blackamore who helped Ms Sundin complete the course, said: "I'm immensely proud of Eva, it's been a tough eight days.
"We've had some pretty brutal days but she's amazing."
