Spanish diplomat stabbed to death in Sudan Sorry - this page has been removed.
(8 months later)
A Spanish diplomat has been found stabbed to death in his home in Sudan’s capital, Khartoum. This could be because it launched early, our rights have expired, there was a legal issue, or for another reason.
The 61-year-old official headed the Spanish embassy’s visa section and had worked in the country for three years, a police statement said.
A diplomatic source in Spain confirmed the death. “Local authorities have opened a police investigation at the highest level,” the source told Reuters. For further information, please contact:
Attacks on foreigners are rare in the desert city, at the confluence of the Blue and White Niles. The diplomat lived in Khartoum’s affluent Garden City suburb, police said.
