A man has been charged with murdering his parents, who were found stabbed to death in Liverpool. The son of of a Toxteth couple found stabbed to death has appeared in court charged with their murders.

Merseyside Police said post-mortem examinations revealed they both died as a result of multiple stab wounds. Timothy Brown, 46, was remanded into custody for treatment at Ashworth Hospital, Maghull by a magistrate sitting at Liverpool Crown Court.
Timothy Brown, 46, of Devonshire Road, Toxteth will appear before a magistrate sitting at Liverpool Crown Court later. Mr Brown, of Devonshire Road, Toxteth, is due to appear at the same court on 9 January for a plea hearing.
Post-mortem examinations revealed the couple both died as a result of multiple stab wounds.
