A new bin strike has begun in Brighton and Hove after talks between unions and the city council broke down.

Three strike dates were announced in September, with the first two suspended while talks took place.

However, the GMB union said its members had rejected the council's latest offer. The four-hour strike will mean about half of the city's rubbish will not be collected.

A series of strikes in 2013 saw refuse pile up on the streets.
