Kielder marathon winner Ceri Rees scores a hat-trick | |

The Kielder marathon has been won by the same person for the third consecutive year. | |
Ceri Rees, from Devon, ran the course around Kielder Water in two hours 39 minutes 43 seconds, beating last year's time by more than four minutes. | |
About a thousand runners competed in the race while nearly 800 took part in the Kielder 10K on Saturday. | |
Mr Rees said the marathon was "not about winning - it's more about getting round the course". | |
"Kielder is beautiful and the course definitely helps the miles go faster," he said. | |
Myra Jones, 31, from Leeds, was the first woman to cross the marathon finishing line and said she was "exhausted". | |
The 10K winner, Marc Fenwick, from Byker, set a new course record on Saturday of 33 minutes 37 seconds. | |
The 42km Run-Bike-Run relay event had more than 200 participants. | |
