'Serious' crash shuts A39 in Cornwall Motorcyclist killed in car crash on Cornwall's A39

One of Cornwall's main roads has been closed in both directions following a "serious accident" involving a motorbike and a car. A motorcyclist has been killed in a collision with a car in Cornwall.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the A39 would be "closed for sometime" and advised motorists to avoid the area. The crash happened in the Allen Valley near Camelford on the A39 at about 10:45 BST. The 58-year-old man from the Redruth area was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said the two vehicles were in collision at Knights Mill, in the Allen Valley, and it was assisting ambulance crews. Devon and Cornwall Police said the A39 - one of Cornwall's main roads - would be "closed for some time" and advised motorists to avoid the area.
