Monday marked the first in a line of 6 Music Live sessions. As part of its fifth season beamed in from the BBC’s legendary Maida Vale Studios, the series kicked off with a set from former Smiths guitarist and indie icon, Johnny Marr, who celebrated the release of his second solo album Playland - a collection of songs described by the Guardian’s John Harris as “one of the most straightforwardly commercial pieces of music Marr has ever recorded.” | |
