Youth stabbed to death in London Teenager murdered in street brawl

A teenager has been stabbed to death in north London. A 16-year-old boy has been stabbed to death in following a mass brawl in a street in north London.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said two youths suffering stab wounds were taken to hospital. One of them, thought to be 16, died overnight. Two teenagers found suffering from stab wounds were taken to hospital. The 16-year-old died overnight and a 15-year-old is in a stable condition.
The second victim, thought to be 18, is in a stable condition. A murder inquiry has been launched and a number of people have been arrested. Murder detectives have arrested 14 people, including a female, aged between 13 and 19.
It brings the number of teenagers murdered in London in 2007 to 25. Police said they are appealing to people at a birthday party which was held nearby to come forward.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said they have yet to be establish if the fight is connected to the party.
Identity withheld
Det Ch Insp Matt Horne said: "A birthday party was being held in the community centre in Shacklewell Road, close to where the disturbance and fatal stabbing took place.
"I am appealing for anyone who attended the party or anyone who witnessed the disturbance in Farleigh Road to contact police."
The death brings the number of teenagers murdered in London this year to 25.
Detectives have said they know the identity of the victim but not all the next of kin have been informed.
A post-mortem examination is to take place on Monday.
