Sex attack in city hotel toilets

A woman in her early 20s has been sexually assaulted in the toilets of a Newry hotel.

The assault happened at premises at Merchant Quay in the city sometime between 0030 and 0130 GMT on Sunday.

Police in the city are appealing for anyone with information about the attack or who was in the area at the time to contact them.

A police spokeswoman said no further details about the incident were available.
