Jessica Ennis-Hill has returned to training after giving birth to her son as she prepares for the 2016 Olympics in Rio. The London 2012 heptathlon champion gave birth to Reggie in July and announced on Instagram on Tuesday that she had begun training after almost a year away. “Back in the gym… building back into training,” she said. “Exciting and slightly scary! My journey to Rio starts now.” Ennis-Hill won gold at the London Olympics in 2012 with a British and Commonwealth record score of 6,955 points but was ruled out of the 2013 World Championships with an achilles tendon injury. She announced here intention to take a year off in January and missed the European Championships and Commonwealth Games. |
