The funeral of Edinburgh schoolboy Jack Anderson is set to take place in the city. Hundreds of mourners gathered to say an emotional farewell to schoolboy Jack Anderson, who died after being knocked down by a car in Edinburgh.
The 10-year-old, who died after being knocked down by a car in Edinburgh three weeks ago, will be laid to rest at Mortonhall Crematorium. The 10-year-old was knocked down on a pedestrian crossing 200 yards from his Edinburgh home on 5 October.
He was walking on Saughton Road North when a car - said to be speeding on the wrong side of the road - is claimed to have jumped a red light and hit him. His parents, Michael and Yvonne, were joined by more than 200 mourners at the city's Mortonhall Crematorium.
A man appeared in court on Thursday charged with culpable homicide. Michael Purcell, 19, has appeared at the city's sheriff court accused of culpable homicide.

Minister Fiona Mathieson told mourners: "Jack Anderson was just a normal wee boy who had his life ahead of him and that life has been snatched away."
