Thousands are expected to gather at 80 different locations across Ireland on Saturday. People are protesting against the introduction of water charges, which can cost households more than €500 (£390) a year. The government is saying the charges are needed for infrastructure, but but some citizens say they are willing to go to prison for refusing to pay.
