Nominations will close later for candidates seeking to be the new Scottish Labour leader. Nominations to become the next Scottish Labour leader have closed, with three politicians contesting the job.
MP Jim Murphy and MSPs Neil Findlay and Sarah Boyack have all declared they will stand. MP Jim Murphy and MSPs Neil Findlay and Sarah Boyack are seeking to succeed Johann Lamont, who announced she was quitting the post last month.
The ballot of Labour MPs, MSPs and MEPs, party members and affiliated unions begins on 17 November and will see a leader announced on 13 December. Meanwhile, MP Katy Clark and MSP Kezia Dugdale will contest the party's deputy leadership, which is also vacant.
Mr Murphy has received the most nominations from MPs and MSPs with 27. Mr Findlay has 11 and Ms Boyack 10. Each candidate received the required 10 nominations from an MP, MSP or MEP needed to stand in the contest.
