'Man and children' involved in crash in Maryhill, Glasgow Girls and man struck in hit-and-run in Glasgow

The emergency services are dealing with a road accident in the Maryhill area of Glasgow. Two girls and a man have been taken to hospital after a hit-and-run in the Maryhill area of Glasgow.
The incident happened at about 21:15 on Sandbank Street. Police said a black Vauxhall Astra mounted the pavement and struck them in Sandbank Street at about 19:40.
The Scottish Ambulance Service said a man and two children had been taken to hospital after being knocked down. Their conditions are not known. The driver failed to stop and the car was later found abandoned nearby on Lochburn Street.
Officers remained at the scene and were carrying out investigations. They have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Both girls were being treated at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children at Yorkhill.
The man, aged 36, was taken to the Western Infirmary.
