A Paintball company is seeking a brave new employee willing to be shot at with “every new batch of paint bullets” in the name of health and safety.

Prospective applicants are warned in the job description for UKPaintball.com that “the role may pose a small risk of pain, discomfort and some bruising”, but the position is essential as the new employee is needed test out the paintballs to ensure they are safe for its customers to use during paintball fights.

Some tests will require the new employee to “wear limited items of clothing” on occasion, in order for the company to “prepare for some ‘worst case’ scenarios”.

The company states that the job, which aims to test the paint bullets “to ensure that all health and safety checks are in place” before they are used on paying customers, has many benefits; it comes with “extremely” flexible working hours and travel expenses, and pays £40,000 pro rata.

Despite the risks involved, UKPaintball.co.uk said it has had over 40 applications.
