Senior broadcasters including Simon Mayo - another former Radio 1 breakfast presenter - have paid tribute to Greening's professionalism and creative skills. The BBC News website has received scores of tributes from fans, and a spokeswoman for Smooth Radio said a selection of these would be passed on to Greening's family.
