A Tesco spokesperson said a number of its 600 stores offering Black Friday deals contacted police in the early hours of Friday to help control crowds, but stores were now trading as normal. A Tesco spokesperson said it contacted police about the Cardiff store "in the interests of customer safety".
"We're grateful to the police for their support and the store is now trading normally," they added.
