Bradbury arrived at the court at just after 08:00 GMT for the start of a two-day hearing. 'Sexual interest in boys'
He ignored questions from the BBC as he walked into court. Bradbury ignored questions from the BBC as he walked into court, just after 08:00 GMT, about six hours before his two-day sentencing hearing.
He has pleaded guilty to 25 offences, including sexual assault and possessing indecent images. He has pleaded guilty to 25 offences, including sexual assault, voyeurism and possessing more than 16,000 indecent images.
At the beginning of the hearing, Mr Farmer said the defendant had a "longstanding, unlawful, sexual interest in boys".
"The defendant, through the trust he had acquired, circumvented the procedures and encourages a number of young patients to see him alone," he said.
"It was in these circumstance under the guise of legitimate examinations he went entirely beyond the bounds."
'Betrayed his profession'
He said he inappropriately touched his young patients "for his own personal gratification", sometimes behind a curtain close to parents.
Mr Farmer said Bradbury was first arrested in December 2013 after Suffolk Police were alerted by Canadian authorities that he had bought a DVD containing indecent images of children.
At that point Cambridgeshire Police were already investigating after concerns were raised about his conduct at Addenbrooke's.
"This defendant was a complete maverick and his behaviour is the antithesis of his profession - he has betrayed his profession," he said.
Dr Keith McNeil, chief executive of Addenbrooke's, said parents held the doctor "in the highest of esteem", but now they were "reluctant to go back" to the hospital.
"Confidence in the hospital has been undermined", he said.
Defence barrister Angela Rafferty said she had not been instructed to put forward any mitigation, adding "the only point I make is a legal point - thankfully, none of the offences were penetrative".
Judge Gareth Hawkesworth replied: "Not penetrative physically, but highly penetrative psychologically".
The case was adjourned until Monday.
