Upper Beeding school-run mum on drink-drive charge

A mother been charged with drinking and driving after being pulled over by armed police while taking her children to school.

Emily Colbourne, 33, of Nep Close, Henfield, was arrested on Monday after officers received a tip-off alleging she could be over the alcohol limit.

Ms Colbourne was stopped in School Road, Upper Beeding, at 09:30 GMT by a firearms team that was in the area.

She was bailed to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on 27 January.
