Dalkeith taxi driver death 'suspicious'

Police say they are treating the death of a taxi driver in Dalkeith following an early morning altercation as "suspicious".

It follows an incident on the town's Lauder Road at about 01:20 on Sunday.

Police Scotland said the taxi driver was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he was pronounced dead.

Det Insp Mark Henderson said they were appealing for anyone who was in the Lauder Road and Easthouses Road area at the time to contact them.
