In a Facebook post, Ms McCance wrote: "Wanna say a big thank you to everyone who has shared my posts, sent messages, donated money and everything else. She told the BBC the return of the laptop had "restored our faith in humanity a little bit".
"You have all helped give me that little bit of faith that there is decent ppl out there. "Someone out there has a conscience," she said.
