Woman, 25, suffers head injury in Liverpool car shooting

A 25-year-old woman suffered a minor head injury during a "targeted" shooting in Liverpool, police said.

She was sitting in a car with her boyfriend, also aged 25, in Maryport Close, Everton at about 17:40 GMT on Sunday when a shot was fired.

The woman was treated for a cut to her head and has since been discharged from hospital.

Police said two men approached the couple before one of them fired a shot, damaging the vehicle.
