Police have warned drivers using the A24 corridor between Worthing and Horsham to be aware of the conditions. Officers dealt with four separate collisions along the road between 06:50 and 08:20 GMT earlier. It is thought no one was injured. Sgt Phil Badman, of Sussex Police, said: "If motorists have to scrape windscreens before setting off it means there is ice about." On Monday, a driver died after his 4x4 vehicle left the road and collided with a tree in icy conditions in East Sussex. Police said the local man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened in Furnace Lane, Lions Green, near Horam, at 07:00 GMT. |
