NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce told the AP that the younger Gilbert went to his father’s apartment Sunday afternoon and that the two men argued about money. Gilbert’s wife had been gone for 15 minutes to get food, according to police, Bloomberg reported. Boyce said the woman “had a bad feeling” when she left the apartment, ABC News reported.
