Version 0 of 1.

Boxing legend Muhammad Ali has been released from an undisclosed hospital after undergoing treatment for a severe urinary tract infection, the Associated Press is reporting.

Ali, who turns 73 on Jan. 17, was initially thought to have pneumonia when he was first hospitalized in December. But doctors later determined that he had the urinary tract infection and not pneumonia, family spokesman Bob Gunnell told the AP.

Ali’s brother, Rahman, said in October that Ali’s health had declined and that he had been too ill to speak. But Ali disputed that in mid-October with a tweet in which he wrote: “Don’t believe the hype. Feeling great…”

The three-time world heavyweight champion has been battling Parkinson’s disease for years.
