The jury in the trial of five teenagers accused of kicking a father-of-three to death has gone home for the night after a sixth day of deliberations.

Garry Newlove, 47, was attacked and "kicked like a football" outside his Warrington home in August.

Mr Justice Andrew Smith told the jurors at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday that he would accept a majority verdict on which at least 10 of them agreed.

Mr Newlove was knocked unconscious and died in hospital two days later.

Adam Swellings, 19, of Crewe, and four youths, who cannot be named, deny murder.
