A man has been jailed for five-and-a-half years after being found guilty of importing 22 stun guns disguised as torches into the country.

Aaron Davies, 29, was convicted of importing prohibited weapons by a jury at Chichester Crown Court.

Davies, of East Preston, West Sussex, was charged after a police investigation in 2013.

Officers searched his home in Sea Road in May, and also a business unit where he worked.

Sussex Police seized 15 stun guns and Border Force officers seized a further seven from a parcel that arrived in the country.

Davies was also jailed for nine months, to run consecutively, after being convicted at a separate hearing of 10 charges relating to the use of false trademarks.
