4 reasons some D.C. residents didn’t want the Olympics
Version 0 of 1. The District made a play to serve as the host for the summer 2024 Olympic Games, but lost. Boston won over three other finalists — Washington, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Some D.C. area residents were disappointed, while others were grateful. We found a few, and we mean few, supporters (excluding those who were part of the campaign to lure the Games here) of #DC2024 on social media. I was one of the few #Washingtonians hoping DC's #Olympics2024 bid would win. Oh well.
