The 52-year-old woman was treated on Tuesday after being found in Old Bath Road, but paramedics were called to her home on Wednesday and she later died. Gloucestershire Police said she had been cycling from the tennis club towards Leckhampton Hill at about 11:30 GMT on Tuesday. The NHS confirmed she had been treated at Cheltenham General Hospital. A spokeswoman for Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said they would not speculate on the cause of the woman's death, or comment on any aspect of her care or treatment, in advance of an inquest. The trust offered its sincere condolences to her family "at what must be a terribly difficult time". Anyone who witnessed what happened to the woman is urged to contact police. A post-mortem to determine the cause of death is expected to take place next week. |
