Cambridge United have reported a website selling fake tickets for the club's match with Manchester United to trading standards officers.

The League Two side will host the Premier League team in the FA Cup fourth-round tie on 23 January.

Club safety officer Ian Darler said he found a main stand ticket selling for £280 on the fake site, which is based in the US.

Cambridgeshire Trading Standards said it was looking into the matter.

Mr Darler said the only way to buy "legit" tickets to the match was from the Cambridge United website, but they are now sold out.

The Cambridge News has reported that ticket touts are selling genuine match tickets worth between £20 to £35 each for up to £260.

The match is to be screened live on BBC One.

The sides have not met since a League Cup tie in October 1991, which the top-flight side won 4-1 on aggregate.
