Man and woman found dead at Stockport house

A man and a woman have been found dead at a house in Greater Manchester.

Police found the bodies after being called to Meadway Road, Stockport at about 18:40 GMT on Friday over a report of concern for welfare.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place to establish how the pair, believed to be in their 40s, died.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said "...at this stage, we do not believe there is any third party involvement."

Det Supt Emily Higham said: "A full investigation into the circumstances surrounding their deaths is now under way."
