Three homes in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, have been flooded with two others threatened. A woman was rescued by fire crews after her car became stranded in 3ft (0.9m) of water between Crymych and Eglwyswrw in Pembrokeshire.
The A484 has been closed both ways in Gorseinon, Swansea as has the A48 between Chepstow and Magor. Three homes in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, were flooded with two others threatened.
There are two flood warnings in place for Wales - at the River Towy in Abergwili and the Lower Dee flood plain between Llangollen and Chester. There are 15 flood warnings and 32 flood watches in place for Wales including the River Taff in Cardiff.
There are 29 flood watches in place across the the country.

The Mid and West Wales Fire Service said it had dealt with 50 flood-related calls in south and west Wales in the three hour period between 0600 and 0900 GMT on Tuesday morning.
The worst-hit areas were in Swansea, Cardigan and parts of Pembrokeshire.
A spokesman said flooding had affected some properties and fire crews had been helping to clear blocked drains and culverts.
However the spokesman said although they had been busy on Tuesday morning, the calls were starting to ease off.

Mid and West Wales Fire Service said it had received calls about blocked drains threatening properties in New Quay in Ceredigion and Letterston in Haverfordwest. Apart from the problems in Abergavenny, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said it was dealing with three other flood-related calls - in Treorchy, Cwmbran and Usk.
Apart from the flooded properties, the South Wales Fire Service was also dealing with six flooded vehicles in Abergavenny.
