A £50,000 reward has been offered by police over the separate murders of two people who were shot with the same gun.

Pragaret Singh, known as Charlie, from Swinton, Greater Manchester, was hit in the chest and stomach in a robbery at his Manchester Food Traders store, in Openshaw, on 31 October.

Kieran McGrath died soon after driving himself to Ashton-under-Lyne police station, after being shot in a "targeted attack", on 4 October.

Police said the only link was the gun.

A £25,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of each killer is being offered and an artist's impression of Mr Singh's killer has been released.

Greater Manchester Police said robbers arrived at his store in a Seat Leon and, after confronting and shooting him, drove down Park House Street towards Alan Turing Way.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering the 35-year-old businessman and has been bailed until 24 March.

A man aged 28, who has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob and conspiracy to murder, has been bailed until 4 February.

Police said four shots were fired at Mr McGrath by two men riding a Suzuki Bandit 600cc motorbike, in the car park of the Sheldon Arms pub.

One of the shots hit him in the chest, said police.

Mr McGrath, 26, made his own way to the police station on Manchester Road but died a short time later.

The motorbike was seen shortly after the shooting on Charlestown Road, Blackley.

It was found burnt out on Boggart Hole Clough near Pinfold Avenue three days later.

Two men, aged 30 and 22, who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been bailed until 18 March and 17 March respectively.
