Probe into worker's fall death at Hunterston coal site

A fatal accident inquiry (FAI) is to be held after a worker fell to his death at the Hunterston coal terminal in North Ayrshire.

Colin Sutherland, 38, from Largs, died in the industrial accident at the Peel Ports facility in November 2013.

The Crown Office has announced that the FAI will be held at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court in July.

A preliminary hearing, ahead of the start of the inquiry, has been scheduled for 9 March.
