Murder arrest after woman's death in Wigan Wigan stab murder victim named as Joanne Harrison

A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman in Greater Manchester. A woman who died after she was found stabbed at a house in Greater Manchester has been named.
The 20-year-old woman was found with an injury at a house on Cameron Place, Wigan, on Sunday afternoon. Joanne Harrison, 20, died in hospital after she was found at the property in Cameron Place, Wigan, on Sunday afternoon.
She was taken to Wigan Hospital where she died, police said. A post-mortem examination will be carried out to establish the cause of death. A post-mortem examination later revealed she died from a stab wound to the neck, police said.
Supt Wayne Miller, of Greater Manchester Police, said officers were not looking for anyone else. A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
