Version 0 of 1.

Robert Griffin III spends a lot of time on social media, so it should really come as no surprise that he took to Twitter to announce he’s going to be a daddy this year with wife Rebecca. Remember, kids, if your pregnancy announcement doesn’t include a hashtag, you’re not a real millennial.

RGIII kept things relatively tasteful by including just one hashtag, unlike other celebrities. For example, here’s Justin Timberlake, who captioned his own kiss-to-the-abdomen celebratory birthday pregnancy announcement photo in January with four hashtags, including #BoyOrGirl,” “#YouNeverKnow,” “#WeDontEvenKnow” and “#WeAreTakingBets.”

“Thank you EVERYONE for the Bday wishes!” Timberlake also said. “This year, I’m getting the GREATEST GIFT EVER. CAN’T WAIT.”

It’s unclear whether Griffin intentionally borrowed the pregnancy announcement idea directly from Timberlake, whose announcement went viral, earning more than 1 million likes on Instagram, but does it really matter? No. This is great news for the Griffins and maybe even better news for Washington-area sports fans — RGIV, boy or girl, is coming to save us all.
