Reality TV star Marc Bannerman has been cautioned over a confrontation with a photographer, police have confirmed.

The ex-Eastenders actor became involved in a row last month after photographers followed him and fellow I'm a Celebrity contestant Cerys Matthews to a pub.

He was arrested after a meal at a pub with the singer near her home in Pembrokeshire.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said: "A 34-year-old man has been cautioned for criminal damage."

Mr Bannerman and another man were released on police bail after the incident outside the Ship Inn in Trefin.

The force spokesman added: "No further action is being taken against the other man."

Meriel Murphy, who owns the Ship Inn, said at the time it was a "horrible" incident that had left Ms Matthews, the former lead singer of Catatonia, "distressed".

She said: "One minute everything was fine and they were having a meal and when they tried to leave they couldn't get out.

"There were around 15 photographers around the car blocking them in the car park and they refused to let them out.

"Cerys was very distressed and I had to fetch a car to take her home."

"I think Marc Bannerman kept his cool very well. He got out and remained polite and said: 'For God's sake, let us go' but they were just laughing and making fun."

The pair became close while living in the Australian jungle for the ITV1 reality show.
