Version 0 of 1.

A car has plunged down a ravine in the Forest of Dean, landing on its roof and leaving an 18-year-old man with a serious head injury.

Two men, both aged 18, freed themselves from the black Vauxhall Corsa and flagged down help following the crash on Monday afternoon near Lydney.

But one had to be flown to hospital with a head injury.

Gloucestershire Police is appealing for anyone who saw the collision on the B4234 Forest Road to make contact.

Forest Inspector Steve Chester said: "It was one of our PCSOs who found the men and realised how serious this was. His swift and sensible actions from that point on has probably kept the one man alive."
