At least 10 fire engines have been called to a large blaze at the Hunterston coal port in Ayrshire. Fire crews have been tackling a large blaze at the Hunterston coal port in North Ayrshire.

Eye-witness Daniel Gilfeather, who was watching the blaze from the beach at Fairlie, said it appeared that a small crane and a conveyor belt for coal were on fire.
He told BBC Scotland that firefighters were trying to dampen down the fire with hoses but flames were still visible.
He said a police helicopter had been flying over the scene and fire crews appeared to be operating a hose from a boat near the pier.
