Ferry sailings on many services have been cancelled amid high winds, with forecasters warning of snow later.

All Stena sailings between Belfast and Stranraer have been cancelled until further notice, and P&O services have also been called off.

It comes as rescuers airlifted 14 passengers from the Warrenpoint-Heysham freight ferry, which ran aground on Blackpool beach in high seas.

Snow showers, some heavy, are being forecast by the Met Office.
