On Wednesday night officers found a camera with images of a burned body, allegedly in the car of 24-year-old cleaner Vincent Stanford, who has been charged with Scott’s murder. Sources have told AAP it appears that Scott’s body was taken to the remote location, dumped in bushland and burned. Police tape remained across Whitton Stock Route Road on Saturday morning with a sole policeman keeping guard. Forensic officers were expected to be back at the scene.
The national park, popular with day trippers and dotted with leafy picnic areas, is over an hour’s drive from Scott’s hometown of Leeton.
