A driver has suffered serious injuries in a crash following a police pursuit in Leeds. A man has died after he crashed a car in a police chase through the Harehills area of Leeds.
The Volkswagen Golf was being pursued through the Harehills area of the city when it hit another car on Roundhay Road at about 19:00 BST on Wednesday. The Volkswagen Golf was being pursued after failing to stop for police when it hit an Audi A4 on Roundhay Road at about 19:00 BST on Wednesday.
The road was closed and the air ambulance was called to the scene. The 26-year-old died at Leeds General Infirmary. The Audi driver, a 37-year-old woman, was also taken to hospital.
